Political analysts say Roemer has chance at presidency
Former Governor Buddy Roemer is getting a favorable chance from political analysts after announcing today he's running a grassroots campaign for president with little money.
Those experts say Roemer's biggest challenge won't be the people, but rather, the Republican Party.
National Democratic Analyst Donna Brazile said, "The field is wide-open so my recommendation is go out there, make some noise and see if he can become one of the superstars."
"If there's ever gonna be a moment where the country decides that the populous message of cutting money out is something we need to return to, I think Buddy's instincts are correct," said Louisiana Demographer Elliot Stonecipher, "I think if that's gonna happen, it's gonna be this time."
Roemer is scheduled to make his first stop in Iowa, where presidential hopefuls start their journey, next Monday.
