Woman stabbed, transported Monday in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Police are investigating following a stabbing that injured one person Monday evening.
The stabbing occurred on Elgin St. off Winbourne Ave. Police say their preliminary investigation revealed that a group of people were arguing in the street when the matter escalated and someone threw a knife and lodged itself in a 43-year-old woman's back.
Her injuries are described as non-life threatening.
Any suspects or arrests made in this case haven't been released at the time of this post. The victim has also not been identified.
