Police: Woman seen with dog was helping it
WALKER - Police investigating a case of possible dog dumping in Walker said they found out a woman seen in surveillance video was actually trying to help the dog out.
A Livingston Parish pet rescue group posted surveillance photos recently of a woman seen dropping a dog off behind a business on Burgess Avenue.
Walker Police told News 2 Monday that they contacted the woman in the photos, and she told them she'd found the dog wandering in the street and moved it off the road so it wouldn't get hit.
According to the rescue group's Facebook page, the dog has not been secured at this time.
