Police: woman's home invasion story was a ruse
BATON ROUGE- Police said a woman cooked a rouse about a home invasion, sold it to investigators and hoped to getaway with it but failed.
After Jackie Bridgers was featured in television reports where she told reporters she, her child, and her roommate where attacked by three guys inside their Mid City house police arrested her on drug charges.
Bridgers said she had no idea why the men invaded her home with a gun and knife but fought the guys back with a machete. When the guys were arrested, they said they were after marijuana and money they were owed.
Police said they could smell the weed at her house and she was arrested her after confessing to having marijuana. Bridgers claims she was going to use the weed to bake brownies.
