Police: teen playing with gun arrested for killing 14-year-old
BATON ROUGE - Police said a 14-year-old was shot and killed when a revolver accidentally fired as a 16-year-old was playing with the gun in the backseat of a car Tuesday.
Brandon Bindon died. Bindon was sitting in the front seat of a car, parked on North 48th Street, when another teen had the gun in the backseat. The gun fired and the bullet hit Bindon in the torso, killing him.
The 16-year-old, whose name was not released, was charged with negligent homicide and booked into juvenile detention.
