Police are still looking for one man in connection with a double murder that occurred on Aug. 29 shortly before 10 p.m.

Authorities already arrested 33-year-old Alton Dominique Fields, who they said is also connected to the crime.

Police said Fields and the other man went to an apartment complex on North Lobdell Avenue to try to purchase marijuana. They forced their way into an apartment at gunpoint, stole several items then shot and killed 26-year-old Roderic Guillory and 37-year-old Nicole Badger, who were inside. They fired shots at another 26-year-old man, but he was not hit.

Fields was booked into the parish prison and charged with two counts of first degree murder, one count of attempted murder and one count of armed robbery.

The second man involved in this incident remains unidentified and at large. Anyone with information on his identity is urged to contact the Baton Rouge Police Department Homicide Division at 225-389-4869.
