Police seek perfume bandit in Hammond
HAMMOND - Police in Hammond are searching for a robber who took more than $500 worth of perfume from a retail store.
Officers tell The Daily Star the suspect entered the Ulta Beauty store Monday afternoon clad all in purple LSU-themed clothing.
Police spokesman Vince Giannobile says the man fled the store into nearby woods with the perfume. Officers were unable to find him.
Giannobile says investigators believe the suspect is a cross-dresser who has robbed the store in the past.
