Police search for person of interest in hit and run
Police are searching for a person of interest in an LA 21 hit and run fatality that occurred April 17th.
Louisiana State Police said 48-year-old Larry Boley, Bogalusa, was riding his bicycle in the northbound lane of LA 21 and was hit from behind by an unknown white SUV. Boley and the bicycle were thrown approximately 100 feet after being hit. The white SUV fled the scene and continued north on LA 21.
Boley sustained severe injuries and was transported to University Medical Center in New Orleans where he later died from his injuries. Police suspect alcohol use by Boley with a toxicology test pending at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab.
