1 arrested after firing shots outside Gonzales restaurant
GONZALES - Police reported the arrest of a man accused of firing shots during a fight outside of a Gonzales restaurant Sunday night.
Gonzales PD said they responded to reports of shots fired at Quaker Steak and Lube, located a 2706 South Cabela's Parkway, just after 9 p.m. Once on the scene, officers learned that a man identified as Ira Lee Williams, Jr., of Donaldsonville, got into an argument with three unidentified men outside of the business, and all parties involved were asked to leave the premises.
Once outside the eatery, the argument escalated to a physical fight, leading to Williams going to his vehicle to get a handgun. Police said Williams then fired shots into the air as the other unidentified men fled the area.
Officers took Williams into custody and booked him into the Ascension Parish Jail on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and discharging a firearm within the city limits.

No injuries were reported in connection with the shooting. Police are still on the lookout for the other men involved in the fight.
