Police say gun used in accidental Brady Street shooting was stolen
BATON ROUGE - Detectives say the firearm used in an accidental shooting that took the life of a 16-year-old girl was stolen.
The 16-year-old male relative who was playing with the firearm when it went off on Feb. 18 at a Brady Street residence has now been rebooked into the EBR Parish Juvenile Detention Center on charges of negligent homicide and illegal possession of a stolen firearm.
The victim, Darneisha Williams, died on Saturday from the gunshot wound, according to police. She was in an area hospital in critical condition until her death.
