DENVER, COLORADO- A woman was shot in the head while on a 911 call to police and authorities are investigating if officers responded quickly enough since she was 15-minutes into the call for help. S

he told the 911 operator that her husband was hallucinating and asked her to shoot him.

Instead, Kristine Kirk was shot and her husband confessed to pulling the trigger.

Court documents say a detective who listened to the 911 call says he heard her scream then a gunshot.

Police arrived right after she was shot.

Richard Kirk is held without bond and showed no emotion in his first court appearance.

His father says the couple showed no signs of marital distress.
