Police: participants in viral fight video gone upon arrival
BATON ROUGE- Police at LSU said Monday, they responded to calls of a large fight on the Parade Grounds as people were tailgating ahead of the ULM game Saturday.
The fight was recorded by a man who appeared to be taking a "selfie" video with the fight in the background and posted on the Internet. By Monday, it had circulated numerous websites.
The video showed as many as ten young men in white button down shirts attacking another college-aged man. At the end of the 14 second recording, most people scatter.
Police said the group, which the Internet has labeled as a group of guys from a fraternity, was gone by the time they arrived.
"The individuals believed to be the aggressors involved were no longer on scene," Capt. Cory Lalonde said in an email to WBRZ. "The few subjects that were did not wish to pursue any charges."
Lalonde said information collected was forwarded to the dean of students office.
