Police name suspect in shotgun attack

BATON ROUGE - Detectives identified the man they believe attacked another person with a shotgun overnight in Baton Rouge, calling him armed and dangerous.

Lt. Don Kelly said they had a warrant for the arrest of Steaphon Harris, 28, for attempted second degree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm. His last known address was 1387 Harco Drive in Baton Rouge.

Police believe Harris shot a 34-year-old man with a shotgun overnight near an apartment complex at 1819 N. Marque Ann. They said the victim was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
