Police nab man wanted for murder
BATON ROUGE- A 21-year-old was arrested late Tuesday accused in a murder that left members of a north Baton Rouge community in shock.
Hardy Allen, 21, was booked into jail. Police said Allen shot and killed another 21-year-old during an armed robbery on Madison Avenue Monday.
Calvin Chrisentary was killed. His family held a vigil near where he was murdered a few hours before police announced Allen's arrest. They built a shrine and lit candles and walked the neighborhood denouncing violence.
Police said Allen was arrested following tips. He is charged with murder, armed robbery and illegal use of a weapon.
Chrisentary was found shot in the back and died at a hospital.
