Police: Mother arrested for leaving kids in car
BATON ROUGE - A Baton Rouge woman is accused of leaving her 2 infants alone in a car.
Baton Rouge police say Rachel Myles, 23, left her two kids in the car which was approximately 85 degrees. The children, both less than 2-years old, were sent to the hospital.
Police say they found Myles talking to people in another car at the same gas station she parked her car at on the 7800 block of Scenic Hwy.
Officials say they found an open pint of vodka and a six-pack of beer in her front seat. Police say they could smell alcohol on Myles.
Myles is charged with two counts of cruelty to juveniles and resisting an officer.
