BATON ROUGE- Police arrested a man for allegedly trying to kill his girlfriend.

Roderick Wells, 30, was arrested on charges of attempted murder.

"He shot her multiple times," a police spokesperson said late Tuesday after Wells was arrested.

The shooting happened last week in the 5000 block of Annette Street.

The victim, who's name was not released, is in critical condition at an area hospital.
