Police: man stole car, crashed during chase

DENHAM SPRINGS- A 22-year-old is accused of taking police on a chase through two parishes.

William Adams was arrested after police said he crashed a stolen car in Livingston Parish Sunday night.

The car was reported stolen by a 17-year-old on West State Street in Baton Rouge. Police said after spotting the vehicle and signaling the driver to pull over, the chase began.

Adams reportedly smashed into a ditch just off I-12.
People on I-10 and I-12 noticed the chase, which happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Adams was booked with 1st degree robbery, aggravated flight from an officer, and resisting an officer.
