Police: man killed in self defense
BATON ROUGE- Police said late Thursday, the stabbing death of a man earlier in the day was justified.
Kendrick Edwards, 19, died after being stabbed in the leg in a neighborhood near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and McClelland Drive. He died at an area hospital.
Investigators said Edwards was killed by an 18-year-old female at her house when he began to physically assault her. Police believe she got the knife to protect herself, and stabbed Edwards in self defense. Investigators described the pair's relationship as an "acquaintance."
