Police: Man killed in crash overnight on I-10
BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge police say one man is dead after a crash on I-10 involving two suspected intoxicated drivers.
Officials say Jason Smith's, 39, car stalled because it was running out of gas. He was hit by Sarah Raimondi, 37, while pushing his car. He is in the hospital with critical injuries.
Raimondi was arrested on charges of DWI and vehicular negligent injuring. Police say they suspect that Smith had been drinking.
It happened on I-10 east near the Perkins exit at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
The crash is still under investigation.
