Police make four arrests in BR narcotics investigation
BATON ROUGE - Police seized guns, drugs, and cash during a narcotics investigation around Baton Rouge recently.
Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said officers arrested four people on July 30: 31-year-old Ricardo Phillips, 29-year-old Randy Phillips, 28-year-old Kenneth Sterling, and 52-year-old Jonathan Shaffer, all of whom were charged with drug possession with intent to distribute. Ricardo Phillips was also charged with possessing a firearm by a convicted felon.
McKneely said investigators also seized a handgun, more than $600 cash, and a variety of drugs. They included 160 grams of marijuana, 5 grams of synthetic marijuana, 4 grams of crack cocaine, 3 grams of powder cocaine, 4 foil packs of heroin, 6 grams of heroin, over 80 oxycodone and lortab pills.
All four were booked into the parish prison.
