Police looking for shotgun-toting attacker
BATON ROUGE - Police in Baton Rouge said they're looking for a man armed with a shotgun who was involved in a shooting overnight.
Lt. Don Kelly said one person was injured in the shooting, which happened around 1:50 a.m. In the 1800 block of North Marque Ann.
He said officers responded to a report of shots being fired and found the 34-year-old male victim in the courtyard of the Centurion Arms Apartments. Kelly said he was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said the victim was approached by another man armed with a shotgun, who started shooting at him for an unknown reason. They said the victim tried to run, but was hit and possibly shot again before falling to the ground.
