BATON ROUGE- Police are still looking for answers after they found a 22-year old man laying near death on the side of the road in Tigerland.
Investigators found the man, without any visible traumatic injuries, but unconscious and without any identification. He's now in the hospital and listed in critical condition.
Police are treating the investigation as a crime right now and that has some residents in the area on edge.
"It just makes you feel worried or unsafe, about even walking outside at night or going to your car," said Leighanne Atchison, who lives nearby.
Many residents tell News 2, the area isn't bad, as long as you're aware of your surroundings.
"As long as you're sober and taking the precautions to do the right thing, you're not looking for trouble basically, if you're not putting yourself in the position to get in trouble, I guess it's less likely to happen," said Anthony Walker, who's lived in the area for several months.
Police ask anyone who may know what happened to contact the Baton Rouge Police department.
