Police investigating pair of shootings on Blvd De Province
BATON ROUGE - Police are investigating a pair of Wednesday night shootings on the same street, one of which sent one person to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head.
Officers said they arrived on the scene in the 1900 block of Blvd De Province around 10 p.m. on Wednesday and found an unidentified man down, bleeding from the head on the ground in a parking lot. Police said the man was unresponsive when they found him, and he was taken by EMS to a local hospital. As of Thursday afternoon, authorities said the still unidentified man remains on life support.
Baton Rouge Police said there were reports of a second shooting in a nearby BREC park at 1735 Blvd De Province, but they do not believe the shootings are related at this time.
