BATON ROUGE - Police confirmed to News 2 they're looking into what happened to a child who was taken to a Baton Rouge hospital with serious head injuries Friday.

Cpl. L'Jean McKneely with Baton Rouge Police said they were notified by Our Lady Of The Lake hospital about the child's injuries, which were suspicious enough to warrant police attention.

He said the infant was in surgery at this time.
