Police investigating fatal shooting in Violet
VIOLET - St. Bernard Parish sheriff's deputies are investigating the fatal shooting of Ricky Moser at the Violet home of his estranged wife.
Deputies said the 49-year-old Moser died from a shotgun wound to the chest.
Pohlmann says Moser's wife had a protective order against him. And a judge had issued a warrant for his arrest last week after police watched surveillance tape of Moser trashing the house.
Pohlmann says Moser showed up around midnight Wednesday and attacked his wife's daughter.
Pohlmann says the daughter's boyfriend shot Moser.
No charges have been filed but an investigation is continuing.
The daughter was treated at a local hospital and released. Her mother, Moser's wife, wasn't home. Police say the couple has been separated for months.
