Police investigating attack on man, pregnant woman
BATON ROUGE - Police said they're investigating an attack on a man and a pregnant woman in Baton Rouge in which one was run over, and the other was attacked with a bat.
Baton Rouge Police said the attack happened at 3852 Geronimo Street just after 10 p.m. Wednesday. Officers said when they arrived they found the female pregnant victim had been run over by the attacker, a woman who was in a relationship with the male victim.
Investigators said the attacker confronted the pregnant woman and the man, attacked the man with a bat and then ran over the pregnant woman.
Police said the female victim was taken to a local hospital by EMS and the investigation was turned over to the Major Assaults division. The attacker faces attempted murder charges, according to BRPD.
