BATON ROUGE - A man is dead this morning after a shooting in the North Baton Rouge area.

It happened in the 1500 block of Scenic Hwy. at Ellerslie Drive just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers say they found the 21-year-old victim lying on the side of the highway with two gun shot wounds to the stomach.

He later died at a local hospital. His name has not been released.

So far, police do not have a suspect or motive for the shooting.
