Police identify women hit by vehicle, seriously injured
BATON ROUGE - Police have identified the two women seriously injured in a hit and run Tuesday evening.
Amy Gibson and Christy Hasty, both of Denham Springs were rushed to an area hospital after the crash on South Magnolia, off Highway 19. Their conditions were described as very serious by first responders on the scene.
Witnesses identified the driver as Jamar Jackson. Officers located his car with a broken front windshield with clothing fabric embedded in the windshield in the 2400 block of South Magnolia. According to police, he was driving with a suspended liscense.
Hasty is still in critical condition, while Gibson has been upgraded to stable.
