Police ID person killed in Friday evening crash
BATON ROUGE – A driver who failed to yield at a stop sign caused a deadly crash Friday evening, Baton Rouge Police said.
The crash happened at the intersection of Beechwood Drive and Sherwood Street around 5 p.m. Tonquincia Davis, 25, died.
Police said a 29-year-old driving a luxury car hit Davis' 1999 sedan. Davis died at the scene, police said. The other driver was hurt and taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected as being a factor in this crash.
Police did not release details about if any charges were filed. They said the investigation continues.
