BATON ROUGE - Police released the name of a man hit by a vehicle and killed last night while walking along a Baton Rouge road.

According to Cpl. Tommy Stubbs with Baton Rouge Police, 24-year-old Reginald Davis died from injuries sustained in the crash along the 9800 block of Greenwell Springs Rd. last night.

Stubbs said Davis was wearing dark-colored clothing, and investigators believe he was picking something up from the roadway around 9:40 p.m. when he was hit by a pickup and killed.

He said the driver of the pickup wasn't injured, and didn't appear to be impaired. It's unknown if Davis was impaired, and Stubbs said their investigation is continuing.
