Police: Hunter finds human skull in Slidell woods
SLIDELL - The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office says a human skull was found by a hunter Friday morning.
Sheriff's deputies were called to a wildlife refuge adjacent to the Palm Lake area in Slidell.
Authorities recovered the skull and turned it over to the St. Tammany Coroner's Office.
A spokesperson for STPSO says there were no immediate signs of foul play and no other remains were found in the area.
This investigation is ongoing.
