Police: Hammond teen arrested for making threat at school
HAMMOND - Authorities say a 15-year-old Hammond High Magnet School student has been arrested for writing a threat on a desk.
Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto said the girl was taken into custody Thursday afternoon.
She says the girl was taken to the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.
Panepinto says the threat made reference to a future event.
Investigators did not release the nature of the threat.
