Police exchange gunfire with group, officer injured
BATON ROUGE- A narcotics search warrant ended with an exchange of gunfire where a Baton Rouge Police officer was injured.
The incident happened on 36th at Cain Street, near the intersection of North Acadian and Gus Young.
Police said they only could release preliminary information and more is expected to be released Thursday. But, a spokesperson did say the officer was not severely injured and will be okay. The exact injury was not released.
Multiple people were detained and no one else was wanted in connection with the incident.
