BRPD officer injured in wreck

BATON ROUGE- A city police officer was injured after his cruiser was in a collision this afternoon.
Sgt. Don Kelly with BRPD said the wreck happened around the 10000 block of Airline Highway at around 3:30 p.m. The officer had minor injuries, and EMS said they transported him to a local hospital for treatment.
Witnesses told News 2 the cruiser appeared to have rear-ended two other vehicles, but Sgt. Kelly said they would not have any details to confirm about the wreck until tomorrow.
