PHOENIX, ARIZONA - The creators of the website Savvyshoppersit.com were arrested and charged with operating an illegal enterprise, forgery, counterfeit trademarks and money laundering. Robin Ramirez, Marilyn Johnson and Amiko Fountain are in an Arizona jail; but people in the Baton Rouge area fell victim to their super coupon website.

"What goes around comes around," said Karen Meadows.

Meadows talked to WBRZ in March, after the coupons she purchased at the savvy shopper site were not honored at a local grocery store.

Authorities confiscated about $25 million in coupons, luxury cars, guns and expensive boats from the homes of the website founders. The estimated economic loss of this case is in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
