Police chase vehicle after pregnant woman attacked
THIBODAUX - Thibodaux Police arrested of four females and one male after a fight led to a Police vehicle pursuit.
Police say two of the women, Natasha Anderson and Laquita Duncan, attacked a pregnant woman.
When police arrived, a Pontiac Grand AM fled the scene leading to the chase that ended with a ramming from a police cruiser. Officers said they found a large quantity of marijuana in the vehicle.
The driver, Carl Jones, was arrested for Disturbing The Peace, Resisting An Officer, Aggravated Flight From An Officer, Possession With Intent To Distribute Marijuana, and a Warrant for Violation of Parole. He is being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in lieu of $40,100 in bonds.
Dashawna Deville, Natasha Anderson, and Laquita Duncan were each arrested for one count of Simple Battery, and Shanice Jones was arrested for Disturbing the Peace.
The victim was taken to the Thibodaux Regional Medical Center complaining of abdominal pains. None of the Officers were injured in the pursuit.
