Police: Burglary led to stabbing
SLIDELL - Police arrested a Slidell man after they said he stabbed a neighbor during a dispute about a car burglary.
Slidell Police accused Anthony Davis, 29, of attempted second degree murder after his arrest Sunday night.
Officers said they were called to the stabbing at the corner of Joy Drive and Lori Drive around 9 p.m. Sunday. They said they found a person with several stab wounds at the scene, and they were taken to University Hospital in critical condition.
Investigators said witnesses told them Davis supposedly broke into the victim's vehicle Saturday night, and the victim confronted him about it. During the confrontation witnesses said Davis pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim, then took off on foot.
Slidell Police said a K-9 tracked Davis down, and he surrendered without incident.
