BAKER - Police arrested three more people today in connection with a recent shooting in Baker, and more could be coming.

Chief Mike Knaps said officers arrested 17-year-old Kedron Haynes, 17-year-old Kurtis Heard and 18-year-old Dwayne McBride today.  He said a fourth suspect, 23-year-old William Davis III, had already turned himself in to police and said he was one of the shooters.

Knaps said all four are believed to have contributed to the fight and shooting Tuesday evening on Greenwood Lane.

"Each subject was interviewed and discovered to have been implicated in having either direct responsibility through knowledge or actions which created the atmosphere for the disturbance," Knaps said in a press release.

Investigators believe the fight was over an ongoing feud between the people involved.

All four men were charged with multiple counts of attempted first degree murder and illegal carrying or use of a firearm.  They were booked into the parish jail.

Knaps said the investigation is continuing, and that more arrests are pending.
