Pointe Coupee Police Jury president dies after battle with cancer
POINTE COUPEE PARISH - The Pointe Coupee Police Jury's office has confirmed the death of its longtime president, Melanie Bueche.
The office says Bueche passed away overnight. Bueche had been battling cancer.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
