Pointe Coupee Parish crash kills 72-year old man
NEW ROADS - An early morning crash in Pointe Coupee Parish killed 72-year-old Willet Jarreau, Jr. after his vehicle went off the road and flipped landing on the passenger side.
The crash happened on LA 1 near HWY 78. Troopers say Jarreau, Jr. was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and he was pronounced dead on scene.
Troopers have submitted a toxicology sample.
