Pleasant Hill child drowns in pool
PLEASANT HILL- Authorities say a toddler drowned in a pool after apparently letting herself out of the house while her mother slept and her father was away.
Sabine Parish Deputy Coroner Ron Rivers identified the child as 2-year-old Isabelle Frazier. An autopsy will be performed Monday to confirm the cause of death, which Rivers attributes to an accidental drowning.
Authorities were alerted at 1:33 p.m. Sunday by a 911 call from the home of Julie Ann and Darren Frazier on Highway 174 east of Pleasant Hill.
Rivers tells The Times the child's grandmother found Isabelle floating in a 4-foot deep, 12-by-15 foot above-ground pool.
Family members performed CPR until first responders arrived. The toddler was pronounced dead at the scene.
