BATON ROUGE - Outstanding and in some cases record breaking performances earned Southern and Southeastern football players the nod as Louisiana Sports Writers Association state college football players of the week.
Reggie Travis had three touchdowns in Southern's 51-36 win over UAPB Saturday, while Denzel Thompson had the first multi-interception game of his career in Southeastern's 30-22 win over Northwestern State. Ryan Adams set a school record with a 55-yard field goal in the Lions win for his honor.
