Plaquemine murder suspect arrested
PLAQUIMINE - Police in Baton Rouge announced the arrest of a man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in Plaquemine this weekend.
Investigators said Willie Thomas, 43, who police believe shot and killed 34-year-old Hashim Henderson during a robbery at his home, was arrested by Baton Rouge Police Monday morning.
Police stopped Thomas in the 3500 block of Dalton St. after receiving a tip on Sunday that he would be in the area.
Police arrested two other people this weekend in connection with the Saturday shooting, Jacqueline Deloach and Alex Granville.
Authorities charged all three with first degree murder and robbery. Thomas was also booked as a fugitive of Plaquemine and charged with possession of marijuana.
