Plaquemine mayor's funeral service set for Wednesday

PLAQUEMINE - People are getting ready to pay their final respects to the late Plaquemine Mayor Tony Gulotta. His body arrived Tuesday afternoon to lie in state at city hall.
Groups of mourners stopped by to pay their final respects to the longest-serving mayor in the city's history. Gulotta was first elected in 1992.
Gulotta's visitation will resume Wednesday morning at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church at 11 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation on St. John's.
Gulotta passed away on Friday from a heart attack, he was 57.
