NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A single-engine airplane struck a van with three adults and two children in it when it had to make an emergency landing on a busy boulevard in New Orleans Saturday,
Police spokesman Garry Flot said no one in the van was injured and that the pilot reported an injury to his arm.
The pilot said his plane, a single-engine Piper, was not working properly and that he had to make an emergency landing at about 2:15 p.m. near Harrison Avenue and West End in the city's Lakeview neighborhood, Flot said.
