Plane crash in Natchitoches kills 1, injures 1
NATCHITOCHES - Police say one man died and another man suffered injuries when a small plane crashed into a soybean field in Natchitoches.
Authorities say the Cessna 172 crashed around 11 a.m. Sunday.
Police say 83-year-old Thaddeus T. Longlois died at the scene and 80-year-old Jack P. McCain Jr. was airlifted to University Health Medical Center in Shreveport in serious condition.
Officials say they are not sure who was piloting the airplane at the time of the crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.
