DONALDSONVILLE - Volunteers working with a state program to prepare an economic development plan for the city are making progress, the project's manager said.

Robyn Penn Delaney told the Donaldsonville City Council there is much still to be told.

The Advocate reports Delaney presented a strategic plan to the council this past week, along with a vision statement titled "Donaldsonville: A Community with a Past and a Plan for the Future."

The plan sets short- and long-term goals for strategies in marketing and communication, economic development, community facilities, education and work force, quality of life and government services and organizations.
