'Pitch Perfect' concert scene to be filmed tonight
BATON ROUGE - Filmmakers gathered around 3,000 extras from the community to film a live concert for the Pitch Perfect sequel Friday night in Baton Rouge.
Filmmakers planned to use the crowd for a scene featuring the Bellas, the female a capella group at the center of the Pitch Perfect films. Filming is scheduled for overnight, starting around 6 p.m.
Extras signed up on a website to take part, and will have a chance to win electronics and Pitch Perfect memorabilia during the filming. Food vendors and other entertainers are also on location to help create a concert atmosphere.
The sequel to Pitch Perfect, which filmed multiple scenes at LSU, is scheduled for a May 15, 2015 release.
