The final plans for a casino in Baton Rouge just got a lot bigger.
Pinnacle Entertainment released new plans today for their casino and hotel that are nearly twice as large as the initial proposal. The company increased its budget from $250 million to $357 million, doubled the number of rooms to 200, and added a new parking facility as well as 257 more gaming positions.
A press release from Pinnacle said this would make the casino a more regional destination, and it would create 1,000 new jobs.
The updated plans still need approval from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board.
