PIERRE PART – Authorities arrested a Pierre Part man after they say he stole dozens of items from a local home, and then tried to sell them around the community.
28-year-old Brad Rohman was arrested this week in suspicion of simple burglary and damage to property.
Investigators said on Dec. 1 Rohman broke into a home on Dino Extension Street by climbing into the attic and then breaking through the kitchen ceiling. The homeowner reported several items had been taken, including a rifle and shotgun, power tools, two flat-screen televisions, and jewelry.
Detectives said they later received information Rohman had tried to sell the stolen items to people around Pierre Part, including a man who said Rohman had tried to recruit him for the burglary.
Rohman remains in jail with a $35,000 bond. Investigators said other arrests could be coming as they continue their investigation.
